Three miners remain trapped underground with no food, water or fresh air after the collapse at the Lily Mine in Barberton 11 days ago.

On the day of the collapse, 76 miners were rescued form the Vantage Goldfields mine. The fate of the three remaining miners has gripped headlines in South Africa.

A second collapse and unstable underground conditions has seen rescue efforts being suspended.
