Schoemansville - A woman and her teenage daughter were killed when their car collided head-on with another vehicle in Schoemansville in North West on Monday, paramedics said.

ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said paramedics arrived to find the 14-year-old girl had died.

Her mother and eight-month-old sister were in critical condition, and her four-year-old brother had moderate injuries.

Jackson said that while paramedics were stabilising the woman her condition deteriorated and she died.

The baby girl was airlifted to a hospital in Pretoria.
