Johannesburg - One person was killed and a number of others were injured, some seriously, when a truck crashed into several vehicles in Devland, Soweto in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon, paramedics said.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found that a pedestrian had been killed in the crash, ER24 spokeswoman Ineke van Huyssteen said.
"A small girl, believed to be six-years-old, was also found to be in a serious condition.
She was transported by Sunshine ambulance service to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for further medical care. Several others were found to be injured."
ER24 and other services on the scene transported the patients to nearby hospitals for further medical care. It was believed that the driver of a truck lost control of the vehicle and crashed into several other vehicles, Van Huyssteen said.
