A West Rand teenager suffered serious injury when he was electrocuted and fell off a train in Roodepoort, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Riana Beech said the teenager, about 16 years old, was "surfing" on top of a train when the incident occurred at the Langlaagte railway station around 4.20pm on Thursday.
Beech said the teenager was "very unco-operative and combative, possibly due to the head injury".
He was stabilised and taken to the Helen Joseph hospital.
"This is the second train surfer in a week at the same train station," said Beech.
On April 11 a 16-year-old train surfer was hit by power lines and thrown off a moving train between the Grosvener and Langlaagte train stations in Mayfair.
The teenager sustained severe burn wounds to his body and possible fractures. - Sapa
