Cape Town - A kite surfing instructor visiting the country from the Netherlands was found floating face down in the mouth of the Langebaan Lagoon on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old man from Rijssen in the Netherlands was visiting the country for the second time in two years.

National Sea Rescue Institute said they could not release his name on Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, in Hout Bay, a Plumstead family was rescued when their rubber duck boat lost motoring power after it had left the harbour.

NSRI Hout Bay station commander Lyall Pringle said a 61-year-old man, his 32-year-old daughter-in-law, 4-year-old twin boys and a 4-year-old girl were on board.

And in Plettenberg Bay, a rubber duck with two men on board capsized in the Keurbooms River Mouth at 4.50pm on Tuesday.

Both men were found uninjured and brought ashore. Their boat was also recovered.
