First ‘HIV lucky draw’ winner picked

Western Cape Premier Helen Zille on Wednesday drew the the first R10 000 prizewinner from about 1 000 people who stood a chance of winning, simply for being tested for HIV-Aids.

The winner cannot be named due to confidentiality.

There will be five R10 000 prizes and a grand prize of R50 000.

Zille started a competition at the beginning of the 16 Days Of Activism of No Violence Against Women and Children. - Cape Times
