Sans Souci pupils speak about their experiences at the Western Cape school caught in the centre of a “racist” hair policy scandal.

On Thursday a group of students protested at the school against what they termed “institutionalised racism”, claiming that they were not allowed to speak isiXhosa on the school premises.

The students say they are given demerits and sent to detention for speaking their mother tongue.
