Bityi, Eastern Cape - A man was shot dead at an initiation school near Bityi early on Tuesday morning, Eastern Cape police said.
“An unknown man entered (the school) during the night and shot and killed a 22-year-old traditional circumcision surgeon,” Lieutenant-Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said.
He said a 21-year-old man, who was also responsible for the initiates, was wounded.
“The motive is unclear,” Fatyela said.
No arrests have been made and police were investigating the murder and attempted murder. - Sapa
