Washington - Police ordered a lockdown of the US Capitol on Friday because of police activity, directing people to take shelter in their offices with locked doors and windows.
One Capitol Police officer said an “event” was under way and authorities were looking for someone. Police said no one would be permitted to leave or enter the building until the lockdown was lifted.
