BUENOS AIRES – Team SA's seven rugby and hockey teams found the going tough in evening action at the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Sunday.

Despite beating the US 19-12 earlier in the day, the rugby sevens team slipped to their third loss in four matches in going down 34-5 to Argentina.

Celimpilo Gumede scored the solitary try for the South Africans who were down 17-00 at halftime.

The South Africans will play their final pool match, against Samoa on Monday.

On the hockey 5's front, any hopes that Team SA had of securing a bronze medal in the women's competition, were dashed through a 6-0 loss to China.
