London - South African wing Bryan Habana revealed on Monday he has signed a one-year contract extension with Toulon that will keep him at the French Top 14 outfit until June 2017.
“I am looking forward to contributing to the success of the club,” added the 32-year-old on his Twitter account.
Habana, who described himself as “happy”, joined Toulon in 2013, six years after lifting the World Cup with South Africa.
In his first two seasons in France he won back-to-back European Champions Cup titles as well as the 2014 Top 14 crown.
He previously played for the Bulls, with whom he twice won the Super Rugby title, and Stormers back in his homeland.
At the recent World Cup in England, which finished last month, Habana joined New Zealand great Jonah Lomu as the all-time top try-scorer in the competition with 15 scores.
He joins South Africa-born former England prop Matt Stevens, and French internationals Romain Taofifenua (lock) and Xavier Chiocci (prop) in extending their Toulon deals.
