SA rugby women prepare for Kazakhstan tour

The South African Women's rugby squad will get together on Thursday in Cape Town for a four-day training camp in preparation for their two Tests against fellow IRB Women's World Cup qualifiers Kazakhstan in April in Dubai.

The two international matches will be played on April 8 and 10 at the Al Ain Rugby Club in Dubai. This will form part of the SA team's overall preparation plan to send a competitive team to the Women's World Cup later in 2010 in England. Twelve teams will compete in England from August 20 to September 5.

The SA squad also spent some time together in January and February.

Meanwhile, SARU has confirmed the women's national team will play two more international matches later in 2010 before the world tournament in England. Two away matches against Scotland have been pencilled in for June 5 and 12.

In between the Dubai and Scotland Tests, the SA squad members will be released to play for their provinces in the SARU Inter-Provincial tournament before getting together for another training camp from May 24-30.
