CAPE TOWN – A last-gasp opportunity has opened up for fans to get their hands on Cape Town Sevens tickets with a limited number available on general sale through Computicket (website and outlets) from 10am on Friday.
Unlike in previous tournaments, where tickets were sold on a first-come-first-served basis, SA Rugby this year introduced a loyalty programme coupled with a ticket lottery. Rugby supporters were required to register on a website after which successful punters were selected based on their support for previous tournaments. Those who were unsuccessful in the loyalty programme, where automatically entered into the ticket lottery.
More than 102 000 tickets for the event have been snapped up in the process, with tickets successfully offered to every individual who registered for the new loyalty programme.
