CAPE TOWN – Lock JD Schickerling and loose forward Kobus van Dyk will join the Stormers in New Zealand as injury cover.

Both Dan du Plessis and Cobus Wiese are on their way home due to shoulder injuries suffered against the Crusaders in Christchurch on Saturday and will be surgically assessed in Cape Town.

The other casualty from Christchurch is lock Chris van Zyl, who has been ruled out for a week with concussion.

Schickerling and Van Dyk, who both made their Super Rugby debut for the DHL Stormers in 2016, will join the team in Dunedin, where they are preparing for their clash with the Highlanders on Friday (9.35am SA time kickoff).

Schickerling is returning from a minor ankle injury, whilst Van Dyk has starred for Maties in the Varsity Cup this year.

The Stormers will also face the Hurricanes at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington on May 5 in their final match on tour.
