MUNICH - Bayern Munich can welcome back striker Robert Lewandowski following injury for Sunday's Bundesliga match with Werder Bremen, coach Jupp Heynckes has said.

"Robert is training well," Heynckes told a press conference Friday. "He's full of energy and will be with us on Sunday."

In contrast defender Mats Hummels and midfielder David Alaba are set to be sidelined.

"Mats had a bad cold, but he's no longer suffering from fever," said Heynckes. "He won't be able to play, however, until next week.

"David Alaba left early on Friday with a stomach bug. He will most likely have to sit out on Sunday."

Bayern lead the Bundesliga by 13 points from RB Leipzig and Heynckes warned against complacency in facing Bremen, who currently occupy the relegation play-off place.

"Werder are no whipping boys in this league," he said. "We need to be very alert."
