UEFA has punished Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev with a partial stadium closure for its Europa League quarterfinal against Fiorentina as punishment for fan racism against Everton.

Two sections of Olimpiisky Stadium will be closed for the April 16 first-leg match with Fiorentina, after UEFA ruled on Friday there was “racist behavior” during the 5-2 home win over Everton last week.

The sections to be closed are usually occupied by Dynamo's ultras.

UEFA did not specify the nature of the racist incident which prompted the sanction, although anti-discrimination group Fare previously said it reported the presence of “far-right hate symbols” at the match to UEFA.

Dynamo was also fined 15,000 euros ($16,300) because of fans setting off fireworks, and because some stairways were blocked, breaching safety regulations.

Part of the stadium had already been closed for the Everton game after Dynamo fans entered an area near the pitch during a previous game against French side Guingamp.
