Bloemfontein Celtic maintained their unbeaten run at home as they thrashed SuperSport United 5-0 in their Absa Premiership match played at Seisa Ramabodu Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Celtic began the game with pace, and didn't allow Supersport the chance to play freely.

In the seventh minute, Celtic scored their opener from a corner. Celtic defender Mulomowandau Mathoho beat SuperSport keeper Rowen Fernandez with a powerful header to make it 1-0.

In the 23rd minute Celtic doubled their lead through midfielder Danny Venter. Venter's powerful shot was too good as it sailed into the back of the net.

Celtic striker Lennox Bacela made it 3-0 in the 39th minute.

The second half started on an upbeat tempo with United bidding to reduce the deficit with sustitute Anthony Laffor trying to unlock the stubborn Celtic defence.

Bacela scored his second to make it 4-0 to Celtic in the 73rd minute .

Bacela completed his hatrick in the 84th minute and score an emphatic 5-0 victory for Celtic. – Sapa
