Orlando Pirates have secured the services of Vincent Pule and Asavela Mbekile for the new season.

Independent Media has been reliably informed that Pule and Mbekile will be plying their trade at Pirates come next season.

"Pule and Mbekile have signed for Pirates. They will be unveiled at the end of the month but I can tell you that they will playing their football at Pirates next season," a source said with confidence.

Pule has also been in the radar of Kaizer Chiefs. The left-footer decided against renewing his contract with Wits, while Mbekile struggled for game time at Sundowns. Their agent, Tim Sukazi of Quality Talent Sports confirmed that the duo have signed for their new clubs.

"Mbekile and Pule have both signed for their new clubs. You guys must do your job and find out which clubs did they sign for. I can safely tell you that Pule didn't sign for Chiefs. It was a media speculation that he signed a pre-contract with Chiefs. Their clubs will announce them, not me," Sukazi said as he refused to name the clubs that have secured the services of Mbekile and Pule.

Pirates have been busy in this transfer window signing the likes of Paseka Mako, Abel Mabaso, Meshack Maphangule, Brilliant Khuzwayo and Kudakwashe Mahachi. Pirates administrative manager Floyd Mbele said he knows nothing about Pule and Mbekile.

The club have also sold Brighton Mhlongo to Bidvest Wits. His agent Mike Makaab of ProSport International explained why Mhlongo chose Wits over Cape Town City after the Citizens showed interested in the shot stopper

"Brighton has the family in Johannesburg. His wife has a big position in one of the corperate companies. That's why he wanted to stay in Johannesburg. He has signed with Wits and is looking forward to fight for the number one jersey there," Makaab said as he explained why Mhlongo signed for the Clever Boys.
