CAPE TOWN – Ajax Cape Town will not be renewing the contract of Zimbabwean striker Tendai Ndoro, even though the Cape club is still dealing with the ramification of the player’s initial signing.

Ndoro’s arrival at Ajax in January this year sparked the registration controversy which is still ongoing in the courts.

The Zimbabwean played for three clubs last season and it’s this that remains at issue, and will determine whether Ajax are relegated from the PSL or not. With the Capetonians docked points for fielding Ndoro, as things stand after the latest High Court hearing, Ajax and the PSL are awaiting the judge’s verdict.

It is expected sometime this week.

Whatever the outcome, though, Ndoro will have to find a new club for next season. On Monday, Ajax released a statement, saying they “have officially parted ways with Tendai Ndoro.

His contract was up for renewal at the end of this month (June 2018).

However, the club has opted not to extend his stay at Ikamva.

The club would like to wish Tendai all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his services over the past six months.”
