JOHANNESBURG – Kaizer Chiefs and Baroka FC are in trouble with the PSL Disciplinary Committee following events which occurred during the fixture between the two clubs at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on September 30.

Baroka have been charged with contravening the Compliance Manual after the club’s representative failed to arrive on time at the mandatory pre-match meeting ahead of the game.

Chiefs have been charged with failure to provide adequate security at Moses Mabhida Stadium, leading to a section of fans throwing objects on the field.

Furthermore, Chiefs and Willard Katsande have been charged with contravening the Compliance Manual after Katsande entered the technical area, although he was suspended.

Baroka caused an upset on the day, beating Amakhosi 2-1. George Maluleka opened the scoring for Steve Komphela’s team in the ninth minute, but former Chiefs player Lewis Macha equalised in the 23rd for Bakgaga.

On-loan Pirates midfielder Gift Motupa grabbed the winner in the 59th minute to clinch all three points for Kgoloko Thobejane’s outfit.
