JOHANNESBURG - Kudakwashe Mahachi will be playing his football at Orlando Pirates next season.

Independent Media has been reliably informed that Mahachi, who is currently on loan at Lamontville Golden Arrows, from Mamelodi Sundowns will join the Buccaneers after the current campaign.

"Mahachi is going to Pirates next season. It is a done deal. Both clubs have agreed. He was part of Oupa Manyisa's deal. He won't be playing at Arrows or Sundowns come next season.  Pirates has been after his services for a while now, " a source revealed.

Manyisa joined Sundowns from Pirates at the start of the season.

Mahachi arrived in South Africa with huge expectations three seasons back but failed to make a telling contribution at Sundowns.

He has been on loan at Abafana Bes'thende for the past two seasons.

Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa declined to comment on the matter.

Mahachi played well this past weekend against Sundowns, but couldn't prevent his team from suffering a 1-0 loss in the Premiership clash.

Pirates spokeperson Thandi Merafe made it clear that they will not be making any comment on the transfer matters.

"Our focus is on our last match against Free State Stars. We don't want to disrupt that. At this stage we will not be making any comments on the transfer matters until the window is opened, " Merafe stated.
