NELSPRUIT – National First Division (NFD) club TS Sporting have welcomed back coach Benson Mhlongo, who resumed his duties on Tuesday.

Mhlongo and the club had their differences, which led to Mhlongo leaving on November 13 and the club installing assistant coach Mfanimpela Maseko in his place.

But in a statement on Wednesday, the club said they wanted to inform the public and their supporters that they have reached an agreement with Mhlongo, and he is now back at work.

“We will like to thank our assistant coach Mfanimpela Maseko, as well as our technical director Sammy Troughton and all members of the technical team in the sterling job they have done to keep the team in a good position.

“It’s been pretty stressful to have this issue surrounding the head coach, but the great thing is that we have been able to find each other.

“As we said before, we value Benson Mhlongo’s contribution, and we believe that he is still important for the team.

“The decision to have Mhlongo back is influenced by the common understanding that the club comes first.

“We will continue to offer Mhlongo our necessary support for him to be able to carry out his duties with success. We welcome him back with open hearts.”
