It seems like Khabib Nurmagomedov just can’t stay out of the spotlight at the moment.

Mind you, it’s difficult not to, when he has just destroyed Conor McGregor, been involved in a post-fight brawl, and met his country’s president, Vladimir Putin.

The Russian President helped to lessen the “sanctions” his father Abdulmanap was preparing to dish out once he got home for his role in the chaos outside the Las Vegas octagon.

It’s all part of the hype, and on Friday, Nurmagomedov added to the drama by stating that Vince McMahon’s WWE had contacted him to take part, following his threat to quit UFC if his teammate Zubaira Tukhugov is not reinstated for an upcoming bout.

The fight was cancelled as Tukhugov was fingered as the member of Nurmagomedov’s entourage who attacked McGregor in Las Vegas.

Now, to go from the brutal world of UFC to WWE is something else, and the 30-year-old from Dagestan seemed to play along when posting about the World Wrestling Entertainment franchise on Twitter.

And he wasn’t scared to call out WWE giant Brock Lesnar, who is a former UFC heavyweight champion himself.

“@WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you think guys? #SmashLesnar #FakeFights” Nurmagomedov tweeted.

Before that could happen, though, the ‘Eagle of Dagestan’ will know his fate at the Nevada State Athletic Commission on October 24, after he and McGregor were temporarily suspended on Friday until the hearing.

Nurmagomedov has yet to receive his $2 million payout after beating McGregor by submission in the fourth round last Saturday.

But he said in a lengthy statement on Instagram that they can keep the money if they don’t allow Tukhugov to fight, adding that “if you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too”.
