Johannesburg - Sixty-nine-year old billionaire Tokyo Sexwale got married this weekend.
Sexwale’s bride is 31-year-old Natacha da Silva.
The lavish white wedding was held at Inimitable Wedding Venue in Muldersdrift.
The bride wore a white, modern ball-gown-style dress with a detailed white veil, while Sexwale opted for a black suit accessorised with a white scarf.
The couple is said to have been together for nine years. They started dating when Da Silva was a 22-year-old law student and model in 2013. Sexwale was 60 at the time.
Despite the 38-year-age gap, the two love birds gushed at each other as they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.
Sexwale is a businessman, politician, anti-apartheid activist, and former political prisoner. He was imprisoned on Robben Island for his anti-apartheid activities, alongside figures such as Nelson Mandela.
After the 1994 general elections – the first fully democratic election in South Africa –Sexwale became the premier of Gauteng. He served in the government of South Africa as human settlements minister from 2009 to 2013.
Sexwale has two children by his first wife, and two children by his second wife, Judy van Vuuren, a paralegal he met at Robben Island prison.
Following his financial success, he moved into the previously predominantly white suburb of Illovo with his family. In 2013 Sexwale and his second wife filed for divorce.
