The scarcity of employment pushed Siphiwe Moyo to initiate Elinye Ithuba seminar programme to help equip people with all the skills set needed for employment.

The creative force behind this programme is the international keynote speaker, facilitator and author Moyo, whose focus is on making a change for the South African youth.

He told The Star how the program was brought to life and the essence behind it.

“The programme just came about me observing youth unemployment programme in our country, particularly in the last year it just kept on rising.

“So start thinking about what are some of the solutions you can put on the table.

“And also just beyond your unemployment the category of people over the age of 35 who have also just given up hope because most of the programmes target people from up to the age of 35,” said Moyo

Moyo also spoke about their upcoming seminar which assists a lot in convincing people that they have another chance in the economy.

“In the seminars, the idea is that we get there and show people how to have a second chance in the economy because some people might have given up on the idea that they could work or finish their matric or graduate.

“Some of the unemployed graduates might have given up on the idea that they would find jobs.”

He further added that the Seminar is a programme that aims at making a difference to the youth of South Africa, including those who do not have Grade 12 (matric) by empowering them with the ability to pursue their dreams and eradicate unemployment.

It will also boast a line-up of speakers such as Zizipho Nyanga, Boniwe Dunster, Linda Ntuli, Mlungisi Nkosi, Yershen Pillay, Kgomotso Motshidi, Billy Selekane, Samke S. Mhlongo, Siphiwe Mselane, Junior Khanye, Yershen Pillay, Gugu Mkhize, Dr Jerry Gule, TJ Malamule and the host will be Siphiwe Moyo.

The Second Chance Seminar is FREE and will be taking place from September 7 to 9, 2022 at Mofolo South in Soweto.
