ANC delegates have gathered to develop and table policies to benefit the people of South Africa, but it all depends on unity.

The eagerly-awaited ANC National Policy Conference has kicked off and is set to run until 31 August 2022 at Nasrec in Johannesburg, where ANC delegates from across the provinces have gathered to develop and table policies to benefit the people of South Africa.

The President of the ANC, Cyril Ramaphosa said that with all challenges facing by the country, delegates must table clear plans and strategies by the end of the indaba

Ramaphosa enumerated a myriad of challenges that need urgent intervention, such as the high unemployment rate, fuel prices, gender-based violence, and corruption.

“Despite the severe challenges that we confront, we have the ability as the African National Congress to turn things around and that is why we are here. This conference is meant for us to come up with ideas, proposals and policies that should turn things around.“

“The future of the National Democratic Revolution will depend on the the decisions and actions that we take in this conference. The future of the NDR will also depend on whether we can accept our mistakes, and our shortcomings but more importantly on whether we can come up with proposals to correct those mistakes and shortcomings,“ said Ramaphosa

He added that tackling these substantial challenges successfully, will depend on the unity of the African National Congress.
