Joburg – Patricia Motsoeneng, popularly known as Gogo Skhotheni, has revealed that being traditional healer may not be as easy as some people imagine it to be, particularly with the awful things required of her, explaining that it becomes an overwhelming experience.

In conversation with DJ Sbu in his podcast, Gogo Skhotheni got candid about her experiences as she deals with people who consult her for various purposes, which she claims are more bad than good.

She further highlights that most people mainly approach her with an end goal to bewitch and destroy other people.

“Out of the 100% of people that I work with, 70% that approach me it is all about witchcraft,” shared Gogo Skhotheni.

She added that people aimed to destroy others while 30% are merely people who want to better their lives. This includes wanting to find a job and other things that may make their lives better.

She says sometimes when she gets home, she would tell her partner that she has had enough because some clients don’t want success but make other people’s lives painful.

“I can’t do this anymore. People don’t want success, they just want to destroy each other.”

This disclosure was met with a lot of criticism on social media as some people believed she had a choice to do the right thing instead of choosing to do what she knows has bad repercussions.

Sluvity_A shared a comment on Twitter denouncing the popular traditional healer and said: “The fact that she was okay with it at the beginning confuses me. She is part of the problem.”

MorakaneR also spoke about Gogo Skhotheni’s gift and how it’s negatively affecting others.

“To have such as destructive gift/skill must be a curse because it’s not something to be proud of. It perpetuates poverty & breaks up families,” said MorakaneR.
