MISS SA 2022 Ndavi Nokeri has been received with excitement, warmth and nothing short of a royal treatment on her homecoming tour in Limpopo.

The Limpopo provincial government hosted several celebrations on different days as part of welcoming the beauty queen, where scores of local supporters came out in celebration of her victory

Nokeri kicked off her celebrations and addressed what her win meant to her, giving dazzling looks for each day.

“It is such an honour to be celebrated today. I want to say I am all humbled and grateful for your presence. I do not take this for granted at all. Standing here as a woman who comes from Ndaba village and being able to say that I am Miss South Africa is really so assuring and reaffirming that, it does not matter where you come from your dreams are truly valid,” said Nokeri.

The 23-year-old visited the chief’s home and also visited a local school – Greenside Primary School – where she donated sanitary towels.

In an interview on 5FM, she revealed that as one of the youngest women to walk the Miss SA stage, she looked forward to using that as an advantage by grabbing every opportunity with both hands.

“One of the women that I look up to is Basetsana Kumalo and how she was able to use this one opportunity to change her whole life. And so I am going to keep my mind open and grasp every opportunity that comes my way. I think this is such a great time to start my future, this is only the beginning,” Nokeri said.

The beauty queen received R1 million in cash in a prize and sponsorship package totalling more than R3m including the use of a serviced accommodation at the lavish Ellipse Waterfall – developed by Tricolt and Attacq – for the year of her reign. She will also get to drive a Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan.

Nokeri is set to represent South Africa at the world’s three most prestigious pageants, Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss Supranational.
