A man was killed and two others injured in two separate incidents in Lanseria last night.

The first incident, a suspected robbery, occurred near Lanseria at a shop on the corners of R114 and Cedar Road.

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring (corr) said  paramedics arrived on the scene and found Life Healthcare services already on scene assessing the two men.

"Assessment showed that one man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest while the other had sustained a gunshot to his abdomen.

"Both men were in a serious condition," he said.

Meiring explained that paramedics treated the men and provided them with advanced life support interventions.

"Both men were thereafter transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment," he added.

Soon afterwards, ER24 paramedics were called to another shooting incident a short distance away at a nearby lodge.

"Upon arrival, paramedics found that a man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and showed no signs of life

"CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in and revive the patient," Meiring said.

"Unfortunately, after some time no vital signs returned on the man was declared dead.

It is believed that the two incidents were related, but this is subject to the investigation of local authorities," he added.

Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele (corr) confirmed both incidents and said police investigations were continuing into the matters.
