After 20 years of excellence in radio and serving on-air content that listeners have fallen in love with, popular radio personality Anele Mdoda will put down her mic for a few months to travel and attend master classes in various countries.

The award-winning radio host is set to return to her desk on 1 July 2022 after hosting one of the coveted breakfast slots, Anele and the club, on 947 FM from Monday to Friday from 6 to 9.

The media personality was overflowing with excitement ahead of her learning journey.

Over the years, the Celebrity Game Night host has garnered a lot of followers with her captivating personality and her remarkable work ethic.

Mdoda has also proven to be a veritable jack of all trades when she transitioned from radio to television, hosting several much-loved television shows.

Her passion for radio transcended to other people as well winning the hearts of many viewers at home.

The multi-award-winning musician will step out of her retirement to celebrate Easter to bring back her sensational days of dominating big stages with her spiritually induced performances.

This hour-long special performance will be live on Tik Tok, allowing her fans to celebrate the Easter festivities with some of her most-renowned songs.

The "Ngegazi Lemvana" hitmaker left the music industry in 2021 after 30 years of making a name for herself around the world.

Over the span of three decades, Dr Malope was popularly known for her majestic voice that commands one to stop and listen, something that has won the hearts of many people, drawing them closer to her artistry.

Through music, she had expressed herself in ways that will always be relatable for many whose love for music is deep.

When asked about the decision to return to her fans, Dr Malope shared: “Music will always form an integral part of my life. It is through the art of music that I could celebrate, mourn, travel, and take my talent to the world. I felt that Easter was the perfect opportunity for me to perform again as I get to connect with my supporters over such a special time, such as Easter, as well as share my art with some of those who may have never had the opportunity to see me perform before.”
