JOHANNESBURG – Local rising artist Sphelele Sabelo Dube, who is fondly known as Kheso, returns with a single titled Temperature after being in the studio for some time.

Following various collaborations with well-known artists, he decided to take his own path and base his focus on creating his own music.

Dube has also hopped into the most dominating genre of Amapiano, where he showcases his flair in music.

Speaking about his music journey, he says he caught the music bug at a young age and has never looked back since.

Asked about his new song, he said: “The track is called 'Temperature' because when people experience life pressure, their body temperature naturally increases. For example, when you see your ex hotter than when you dated her, or you see your peers driving a better car, and you get jealous, your body temperature is bound to rise, so I then sarcastically ask on the track, ‘Injani i-temperature’ loosely translated as how do you feel now?

Many may also remember him as a member of a group named “ Teddy Bears”, which put together a hit song titled Hlokoloza with the well-known music icon DJ Cleo.

He revealed working with DJ Cleo was one of the biggest highlights in his career after their song won big at the South African Music Awards?

The Umlazi born star said he is inspired by old artists who push through to stay relevant.

“I am inspired by old school artists that are consistent and are very relevant till date. I admire how they manage to evolve with time and easily infuse into any genre.”

The Temperature hitmaker also mentioned that he is a veritable jack of all trades as he is more than just a music artist.

“Lucky for me, I have more than one talent. Not only am I a musician, but I am also a dancer, choreographer, event organizer and content creator. I can create masterpieces with my God-given talents.”

Dube is inspired by celebrated artists such as DJ Tira, DJ Fresh, Oskido and Maphorisa.
