Experience the stunning country of Bhutan through Six Senses. Instead of having one resort, Six Senses Bhutan created 5 satellite resorts that provides a totally different experience than the first. With a total of just 82 guest suites and villas between five intimate lodges, guests can have the chance to visit Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, Bumthang and Paro. They will get to experience the history and culture of a country known as the ‘happiest place on Earth’.

The journey begins in the capital of Thimphu where culture reigns. The resort is decorated with modern with hints of cultural items, handcrafted objects and intricate weavings. Their next stop is Punakha, famous for Punakha Dzong, a 17th-century fortress at the juncture of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers. At the resort, travellers can expect mud brick features, light fittings cleverly crafted from mason jars and woven bamboo feature walls.

Resort number 3 is in Gangtey. One of the features is the Gangtey chalet, known for its unique bird-watching bridge crafted from local stone and allows guests to get up close and personal with the birds. At Bumthang, guests can experience a ‘forest within a forest’ feature. Accommodations are set within verdant woodland, with expansive windows to provide a natural experience. The journey ends in Paro, a site of old stone ruins.
