Rand Coach Tours is offering the following 10-day trip to see the Namaqualand daisies:

Itinerary

- 2 September: Depart Joburg and travel south to Bloemfontein. Visit the Women's Memorial. Continue to Colesburg for dinner and overnight at the Colesburg Lodge.

- 3 September: Continue south via Beaufort West and the historical town of Matjiesfontein to Worcester for dinner. Overnight at the Cumberland Hotel.

- 4 September: Travel via Wellington, Malmesbury and Darling - the home of Evita Bezuidenhout. On to Saldanha Bay for dinner and overnight at Blue Bay Lodge.

- 5 and 6 September: After breakfast depart Saldanha Bay, visit the West Coast National Park travel to Lamberts Bay via Elands Bay. These two days are spent travelling around Citrusdal and Clanwilliam. Clanwilliam is one of the oldest towns in SA and is also the headquarters of the South African Rooibos Tea industry. Take a walk around the Ramskop Nature Reserve. Visit Bird Island in Lambert's Bay. Dinner and overnight at the Lambert's Bay Hotel.

- 7 September: After breakfast travel north from Lambert's Bay via Van Rhynsdorp, Bitterfontein, Garies, Kamieskroon and Skilpad always in search of more flowers. Dinner and overnight at Kokerboom Motel in Springbok.

- 8 September: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before travelling around the Springbok area visiting Goegap Nature Reserve, O'Kiep, Nababeep and Port Nolloth. Dinner and overnight at Kokerboom Motel.

- 9 September: Today we continue our journey towards Kakamas. Visit the Pella Mission near Pofadder. Dinner and overnight at the Kalahari Gateway Hotel.

- 10 September: Depart from Kakamas to the Augrabies Falls National Park to view the Augrabies Falls. Continue via Upington and Olifantshoek to Kuruman for dinner and overnight at the El Dorado Motel.

- 11 September: After breakfast visit the "Kuruman Eye" and the Moffat Mission before embarking on the final leg home. Travel via Wolmaranstad, Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom to arrive in Joburg in the late afternoon.

- Star Travel Club Rate: R7 250 per person sharing. Additional R1 150 per person single supplement.

INCLUDED: Transport in a luxury coach, dinner, bed and breakfast, porterage, entrance fees to the following places of interest: Kuruman Eye, Moffat Mission, Augrabies Falls, Pella Mission, Skilpad and Goegap Nature Reserves, Bird Island, Ramskop Nature Reserve and the West Coast National Park.
