Cape Town is set to receive its first Hilton Hotel after the Hilton Group bought up one of the city’s only “dry hotels” – they don’t sell booze on the premises but patrons are allowed to bring their own.

The Coral International branding has been removed from the hotel near the Bo-Kaap on the corner of Buitengracht and Wale Street.

It is believed the Dubai-based Coral Hotels and Resorts Group has sold its flagship South African hotel to the Hilton Group. It is trading as Cape Town City Centre Hotel until the rebranding is done.
