FlySafair has once more shown that South African airlines are amongst the best across the globe, having again been named the most on-time airline in the world by air travel intelligence specialist, OAG.
The local airline landed the number one spot comfortably, with an average on-time performance (OTP) of 94.9% over the twelve month period from October 2016 to September 2017. This is according to OAG, which provides global flight information and holds the most extensive network of air travel data in the world.
When FlySafair first took home the title of most on-time airline in the world, OAG remarked on the difficulty of achieving such a high average on-time performance. Now, in retaining its status as number one, the airline has proven its consistency.
On-time performance has always been a priority for FlySafair and the airline has always been extremely reliable in this regard. Retaining its status as number one in the world is a testament to its unwavering commitment to ensure passengers arrive on time.
“Whether they are heading out on business or eager to start a well-deserved vacation, we know how important it is for clients to be able to remain on schedule. Time is precious and we understand this,” says Elmar Conradie, CEO of FlySafair.
However, OTP is more than just a measure of an airline’s ability to keep to its schedule, reflecting also the overall efficiency of its operation and strength of brand reputation.
“We are exceptionally proud to be flying the South African flag high by remaining the most on-time airline in the world. Our consistency in this regard really speaks to the calibre of our operations team and its dedication to putting our clients first,” says Conradie.
