With its densely packed cities, stunning natural landscapes, world famous heritage sites and hippy paradise beaches, India has something to pique the interest of every young explorer and provides the perfect stage on which to create lifelong travel memories. Historically a key destination for travel junkies looking to expand their horizons and enjoy a more far flung travel experience, millennial interest into travelling in India has grown considerably recently as the desire for more cultural, out of comfort-zone travel experiences has become the norm for young travellers.

The desire for out of comfort-zone authenticity is strong among Contiki's millennial customers, as are the basics; great food, comfortable accommodation and private, air-conditioned transport.

The Eternal India trip also includes two internal flights to maximise time in each location, no overnights or full days on buses are included.

The Eternal India trip will take place over 12 days, following Contiki's more relaxed 'In-Depth Explorer' pace and visiting Delhi, Agra, Ranthambore, Jaipur, Udaipur, Mumbai and finally the beach paradise of Goa. As well as the best group atmosphere, great food and top notch accommodation and transport.

The Eternal India is no exception, with local tour guides on hand to give travellers the authentic and local experience in each city, excursions to several heritage sites, a safari and special stay at Ranthambore National Park and of course a trip to the world famous Taj Mahal included. Some of the amazing optional activities on this new Indian itinerary include a cooking demonstration and local family supper in Jaipur, a Bollywood tour in Mumbai, a tour of Mumbai at dawn and a Yoga class on the beach.

“Recently we've seen a sharp rise in the demand for more authentic, out of comfort-zone travel experiences that give young people more of a sense of adventure and make them feel far from home,” Said Kelly Jackson, GM for Contiki SA.

“Our amazing new India trip really encapsulates this style of travelling, but also provides for the best food, accommodation and in region travel as well, serving up the best of both worlds to our savvy young travellers”.

The Eternal India trip will go on sale from July 12, with the first trip to run from December 2016. Pricing starts from R27 707 per person sharing, inclusive of the early payment discount which is valid until 8 September 2016, and a R1 000 deposit is required at the time of booking. The travel season will run from October to April.
