The ongoing Weekends at the Oasis series as part of the Al Ain Cultural Programme 2017/18, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi (DCT) will run on a monthly basis. 

The next editions will be on February  23, 24 and March 30 and 31 , where guests can interact with the oasis, learn about the heritage and history of the area and explore the lush ecosystem, which includes palm groves and the aflaj irrigation system. 

With a selection of exciting events and activities for the whole family, the event includes traditional folk-dance performances of Ayyalah and Harbiyyah, film screenings of movies from the 80s and 90s in the Western Plaza area, arts and crafts workshops, live cooking corners, food trucks and a bazaar.   DCT oversees the development of Al Ain Oasis and works to enhance the experience for visitors by organising a variety or heritage and cultural events, which allow interaction with the natural features of the Oasis and the unique architectural style of its buildings and facilities. 

* Weekends at the Oasis will return on 23rd February at Al Ain Oasis from 3pm – 8pm. Film screenings will run from 6pm – 12am, while all workshops will take place from 3pm – 7pm.
