Travel and yoga are two pursuits that can greatly add to your overall wellbeing. By combining the two, you could be well on your way to becoming your best self.

One way to start planning both your actual and your spiritual journey is by looking at some of the most top-rated global yoga experiences. On the Airbnb Experiences platform, you’ll find yoga practices in countries you’ve always wanted to visit. We’ve combined some of the most interesting ones, to kickstart your yoga-travels.

Nature Yoga

Where:

Barcelona, Spain.

Highlights:

Airbnb Experience host Antonio loves nature and yoga so much that, naturally, he decided to combine the two to share with others.

Just 25 minutes from the city centre, in the Collserola mountains, you can practice yoga in a unique natural setting with incredible 360-degree views of Barcelona. A short hike (or optional drive) will take you to Antonio’s “favourite secret spot” often used as a quiet retreat for nature lovers and bird watchers.

Taking advantage of what he describes as the “cleanest air in Barcelona”, you’ll practice yoga and meditation with the sound of the birds as your music.

Experience cost:

R535 per person (including car ride, yoga mat, a snack and cold-pressed juice).

Yoga at the Bronx Brewery

Where:

New York, United States.

Highlights:

This is a truly unique Airbnb Experience. “Bring the brewing process to the yoga practice” at this innovative yoga class. Host Leanne spent years in the beer business before leaving the corporate world to become a yoga instructor and health coach. She created “Brew You Yoga” to marry her two great passions.

After a short talk on “Yoga and Beer as kindred spirits”, you’ll participate in a one-hour vinyasa class to “transform the body through its own brewing process” and “mash up the ingredients within”. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a tasting of four beers – an NYC experience you won’t forget in a hurry.

Experience cost:

R436 per person (including a tasting flight of 4 Bronx Brews!).
