When at the Ritz, just flash your VIK card

For stroppy adolescents, there's a dedicated 'teen concierge' to order a taxi to the nearest Jack Wills store or to secure tickets to that night's sold-out Justin Bieber concert.

Hotels can be, like, so boring for the child who has everything. What good is a four-poster bed and 42-inch telly when your bedroom at home is even more blinged-up?

It’s a question that the Ritz hotel in London is trying to answer. In an attempt to woo children with the most expensive of tastes, the Piccadilly hotel has introduced a “Very Important Kid” card.

Spoiled young guests only have to flash their V.I.K. card at the doorman and flunkies will present them with a goodie bag, as much ice cream and puddings as they can eat and a personal Wii console or PlayStation.

They’ll even be treated to child-size bathrobes, slippers and toiletries.
