Local star Somizi has set the record straight that is was 'Idols SA' that made him a bigger star and not his former BFF, Bonang Matheba.
Blogger and entertainment commentator Phil Mphela went on the SABC 1 show the 'Real Goboza' and fans then alluded to the fact that Mphela implied that Bonang was the reason Somizi made it big.

Phil Mphela then went on social media to clarify his comments stating: "I never said Somizi owes Bonang anything. I said his rise and brand elevation benefitted from being around B*"

Somizi then clamped back in a reply saying "Just watched. No Phil. Idols made me a bigger star not Bonang no no no".
