Durban - Don’t blow out your candles just yet.

While Eskom seemed to offer South Africans some respite when it announced that load shedding would be suspended on Friday at 4pm, the utility said in a later statement that, due to the breakdown of five generating units on Thursday afternoon, it was no longer possible to suspend load shedding as previously communicated.

“Stage 2 load shedding will therefore continue until further notice.”
