The tribe has spoken – Western Province will definitely go through to the Currie Cup final.

That was the sure thing that came out of an IOL Sport Twitter poll on Friday.

WP take on the Blue Bulls at Newlands on Saturday (5pm kickoff), and before that, the Sharks and Golden Lions square off at Kings Park in Durban (2.30pm).

The question asked in the eight-hour poll was: Who will make it through to next week’s final?

The four options presented were WP v Lions, WP v Sharks, Sharks v Bulls and Lions v Bulls.

John Dobson’s Province featured in both answers with the most votes, but in somewhat of a surprise, readers voted that the Lions – coached by Ivan van Rooyen for the first time – would beat the Sharks in Durban and travel to Cape Town for the final, with the WP v Lions game getting 53 percent.

WP v Sharks got 31 percent, while the long shots of Sharks v Bulls (nine percent) and Lions v Bulls (seven percent) didn’t garner much support.

Perhaps what swayed the final outcome was the fact the Lions would be bolstered by a number of Springboks such as Warren Whiteley, Elton Jantjies and Aphiwe Dyantyi.

So, do you agree with the voters?

It's #CurrieCup semi-final time! @TheSharksZA will host @LionsRugbyCo at Kings Park on Saturday (2.30pm), and @WP_RUGBY face @BlueBullsRugby at Newlands (5pm). Who will make it through to next week's final? @IOL @CapeTimesSA @TheCapeArgus @pretorianews @TheStar_news @TheMercurySA
