Narbonne, France - Springbok flyhalf Louis Koen has signed a two-year contract with French rugby union side Narbonne, the south western club announced on Saturday.

The 28-year-old Koen, who has 11 caps for South Africa, joins from the Bulls and will link up with his new team after the World Cup from October 10 to November 22.

Koen travelled to France with his wife Lelani this weekend after playing with the Springboks in the Tri-Nations against New Zealand and Australia.

He was a key member of the South Africa team during Test matches last June against Argentina and Scotland.

He kicked a stoppage-time penalty to give South Africa a lucky 26-25 win over Argentina, contributing 58 of the 83 points scored by South Africa in victories over Scotland and Argentina. - Sapa-AFP
