The Blitzboks cruised to a resounding 52-0 victory over Papua New Guinea in their second group match at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.

It was the South Africans' second runaway win of the day after earlier thrashing Malaysia 43-0.

Against Papua New Guinea, Neil Powell's charges went into the break  with a 33-0 lead and scored eight tries in the match.

Werner Kok, Rosko Specman (2), Ruhan Nel (2), Dylan Sage, Branco du Preez and Zain Davids all crossed the whitewash, getting the reward for their superior skill, physical contribution and team work.

The Blitzboks will face Scotland at 2.17 (SA time) on Saturday, and the winner of that match will progress through to the semi-finals, while the loser will be out of medal contention.
