CAPE TOWN – Thembinkosi Lorch has been rewarded for his fine goal against SuperSport United with a starting berth for Orlando Pirates.
Buccaneers coach Milutin Sredojevic has brought Lorch in at the expense of Linda Mntambo for tonight’s Absa Premiership clash against Cape Town City at the Orlando Stadium (7.30pm).
The rest of the Pirates side is the same as the one that dispatched SuperSport United 3-1 on Saturday night, with the in-form Xola Mlambo sure to pull the strings in the middle of the park once more.
City, who will be without coach Benni McCarthy – he is attending to a family medical emergency – were forced to make a change in defence after Taariq Fielies’ red card in the 4-1 loss to Kaizer Chiefs.
Youngster Keanu Cupido gets a start at the back, while Kouassi Kouadja comes in for the injured Thami Mkhize.
Craig Martin, who also had an injury concern, goes to the bench, with Gift Links coming into the midfield, while Roland Putsche will add a bit of physicality as well.
Former Pirates winger Riyaad Norodien has been handed an opportunity to prove a point too, but there is still no sight of new signing Tokelo Rantie.
