CAPE TOWN – After a tricky few matches, Orlando Pirates got back to winning ways by beating Black Leopards last week.

The 2-1 triumph in Polokwane was the Buccaneers’ first in three matches, and ensured that they extended their unbeaten run against Leopards to 13 games.

Now the good vibes at Orlando Stadium can continue, with Pirates calling on their fans – the Ghost – to participate in their 80th birthday celebrations.

The club have begun a project to identify the top 80 Pirates players of all time, in a campaign called ‘80 Legends’.

There are just five places left in the list, with 75 already chosen.

Do you fondly remember the more modern-day heroes such as Jerry ‘Legs of Thunder’ Sikhosana, Lucky Lekgwathi, Williams Okpara, Mark Fish and Helman ‘Midnight Express’ Mkhalele?

Or do you back to the days of Jomo Sono, Shakes Mashaba and Bernard ‘Dancing Shoes’ Hartze?

You can choose your favourites by visiting the club website www.orlandopiratesfc.com/80legends and you can win something as well, with a LG smartphone and cash prizes totalling R20 000 up for grabs.

The competition ends on October 1 this year.
