Cape Town - The moment had finally arrived for the sexy Toni Braxton to visit the Mother City on her tour titled 'Her As Long As I Live' at Grand West Arena stage on Tuesday.

Fans attended the concert all dressed up to enjoy this momentous moment. The show was suppose to start at 7pm but it ran late.

At 7.35pm the evening started off with the energetic 25-year-old Durban artist Shekhinah performing Suited song, among others. The crowd was on their feet rocking to the beat. Later the evening Shekhinah surprised the crowd sitting in a general seat.

Fans waited and waited although the Grammy-award winning artist, Toni Braxton, only arrived on stage after 9pm, it was worth the wait. She started off dressed in black suit singing her hit 'Please' with her dancers.

She called out two members of the audience on to the stage to have a short chat. They were ecstatic when they each received a hugged from her. They left the stage with a Toni t-shirt and later moved between the crowd. She also sang a birthday song to a lady that celebrated her 47th birthday and later the woman's boyfriend proposed on stage.

She went down memory lane  as she told the audience that she is grateful that she could make this tour after battling lupus. She revealed her mom and dad got divorced after 34 years and her dad got remarried. She also said that her mom hated her dad and that was how the song 'I wish' came about.

She ended the evening off with 'As Long As I Live' and thanked the crowd for allowing her to still do her job at the age of 52. Capetonians are still in love with Toni Braxton.
