After having been stuck in the boot of a car for 30 hours, Chester Missing is no longer missing.

South Africa’s premier political puppet was reunited with renowned ventriloquist and comedian Conrad Koch on Saturday after vanishing for more than a day.

On Friday, Missing wrote on Twitter he was trapped in the boot of an Uber taxi.

It began with an urgent plea for help. “I need to pee,” he wrote.

During the ordeal, Missing has been engaged in discussions on social media with the e-hailing service to locate himself.

Koch said Missing had been in contact with him since vanishing. “Chester has been WhatsApping me. He is very angry,” he said. “He’s about to run out of data and his phone’s about to die.”

Attempts to contact Missing were unsuccessful due to bad cellular reception in the boot of the vehicle.

However, all was resolved when on late Saturday night, Koch tweeted that Missing had been found and returned home safely.

Despite the incident, Koch was confident Missing’s holiday plans would not be ruined. “Chester’s going to have the best Christmas,” he said.

Koch also said he was not concerned about Missing contracting the Covid-19 virus. “He’s made out of PPE,” he added. “In fact, he may have orchestrated it so he could escape and have a party over the season.”

This is not the first time Missing has vanished. In 2015, the puppet made headlines after disappearing on an Air France flight from Canada to South Africa after attending the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
