DURBAN- Another suspect has been arrested and charged for a murder that took place at the Glebelands Hostel in July 2018.
He is expected to make a first appearance in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court today.
On Sunday an intelligence-driven police operation resulted in the arrest of the 25 year old suspect.
He has been charged for the murder of Simphiwe Ndebele,26, who was shot and killed at the Glebelands Hostel.
The operation was conducted by the Durban Flying Squad and Rapid Rail Police Unit.
According to police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala, the suspect was found in possession of a magazine with two rounds of ammunition.
The suspect's co-accused Senzo Cele, 27, was arrested last month in connection for the same murder. Cele has been remanded in police custody.
Gwala said the suspect will also be profiled to check if he is linked to other murder cases committed at Glebelands Hostel and surrounding areas.
