DURBAN - BAFANA Bafana and Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Itumeleng Khune has wished his bae Sbahle Mpisane well after being involved in a horrific crash in Durban on Thursday morning.

The fitness bunnie Mpisane was involved in a crash at about 4am at Durban’s Victoria Embankment, Rescue Care paramedics confirmed on Thursday morning.

According to spokesperson Garrith Jamieson, Mpisane had been traveling alone when her BMW sportscar hit a light pole and a tree. She was rushed to the St Augustine’s hospital where she is in a critical condition.

Taking to Twitter and Instagram to break his silence, Khune, who has had a tough week on the sporting field conceding four goals in the opening two games of the Premier Soccer League, wrote: “Happy Women’s Day You are in my Prayers #Queeno 🙏🏻”.

Speaking to DRUM, Mpisane’s father, Sbu, was reportedly emotional and told the magazine he did not know where his daughter had been.

He told DRUM: “It’s really bad. I don’t know where she was coming from. But she is in ICU fighting for her life at St Augustine Hospital in Durban."

Police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbhele said police were investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
